The Baskerville Challenge is an annual event that has been held on August Bank holiday by the Wye & Welsh Land Rover Club for the past 29 years. There are a range of events which can be competed in, from a beginners TYRO to a competitive CCVT. The club used to run a Comp Safari, but as interest dwindled and the ground became tricky to navigate, the Wye & Welsh decided to run a Timed Trial instead. This event is a fast-paced, thrill filled trial which is spectator friendly.
It is held at the Baskerville Hall Hotel, on the outskirts of Hay-On-Wye, near to the graves of the infamous Hounds of the Baskervilles. The camping is located on the flat field in front of the hotel, and the trial ground is in the woods behind the hotel.
